It's Easy to Get Started

When you use your EBT Card, Double Up matches your SNAP purchases for locally grown fruits and vegetables. That means your family gets free fresh fruits and vegetables when you use your EBT Card at participating farmers markets and farm stores. Match amounts and maximums vary by location.

Since 2019, hundreds of Tennesseans have used Double UP Food Bucks to buy more than $145,000 worth of healthy, local food.

Am I eligible to use Double Up Food Bucks?

  • SNAP stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the program formerly known as food stamps.
  • If you are approved for SNAP or P-EBT, you are eligible to use Double Up Food Bucks!

Two Ways to Shop with Double Up

At the Farmers Market

Find a participating farmers market near you

With 19 participating locations across Tennessee, it’s easy to find a farmers market near you.

Customers bring their EBT card to the information booth at each market to swipe for SNAP tokens at their desired amount. These SNAP tokens can be spent on any SNAP-eligible foods at the market.

For every $1 spent using SNAP, the market will give the customer matching Double Up tokens. Matching amounts and maximums vary by location.

Double Up tokens can be spent on any fresh fruit or vegetable at a participating markets or farm stores and should be used by the end of the calendar year.

At the Farm Store

At check-out, customers can use their EBT card for SNAP-eligible purchases.

After paying, the store will give the customer matching Double Up tokens for every $1 spent using SNAP. Matching amounts and maximums vary by location.
